Samsung has launched the new A7 in the Indian market. Unlike the A3 and the A5, which were announced with a formal launch event, the A7 was quietly made available without much fanfair.

The phone is now available on the official Samsung India store, with a price tag of Rs. 30,500 ($491). It is technically the A7 Duos model, which comes with two SIM card slot, just like the A3 and A5.

The A7 is the current flagship in Samsung's new A series and has a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 64-bit octa-core chipset with 4x 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 cores + 4x 1.0GHz Cortex-A53 cores, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB memory with microSD card slot (shared with SIM 2 slot), 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front camera, 2,600mAh battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
