If a long battery life is one of the features you crave when looking for a new smartphone, you might want to pray to the phone gods that the Bluboo X550 will be available in your region of the world. This handset carries with it a rather hefty 5300mAh battery. That will tie the Bluboo X550 with the Philips W6618. The batteries on both models are just 50mAh smaller than the 5350mAh cell shoe-horned into the Elephone P5000.

Most of the specs are unknown at this point, although the device is powered by the 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 CPU. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity and will have Android 5.0 pre-installed. The Bluboo X550 will be available in black and white, and the bezels on the device are thinner than average. Even with the huge battery, the phone will have a power saving mode to squeeze out the last drop of available power.

The manufacturer, Shenzhen Huihua Exploit Technology Co., will be holding an event between April 18th-21st to launch the device. Pricing has yet to be disclosed.
